Contextual DesignWe have considerable experience in designing and renovating buildings for significant campuses that fit naturally with the existing campus context. We believe that campus buildings exist as part of an ensemble. Visionary leadership from both the institution and the architect can strengthen the ensemble, propelling a campus into future generations. At Wilson Architects, we understand the importance of designing buildings to maintain and extend the qualities of each campus. We are committed to the idea of the campus as a memorable experience, for each member of the community, which represents an idealized place and model or touchstone for the development of the humanistic values that define and continue to nourish our culture. To promote this idea, we have assembled a group of senior architects with experience designing on significant academic campuses. Our goal is that each building and space contribute in a positive, forward looking way to the ensemble. |
