Our practice gives us unique insight into the various needs of scientists. While some research lends itself to generic laboratory design, nanotechnology research also involves specialized spaces. Working with users, consultants, and contractors we are producing innovative facilities to enable our clients to explore the frontiers of science. Nanoscale research calls for scientific activities to be decoupled and isolated from surrounding building systems and adjacent conditions. By using special features to protect the science, and at the same time encourage the free exchange of ideas, we design facilities that cross disciplines and bring people together.
