Wilson Architects named Jacob Werner, AIA, LEED AP BD+C an Associate of the firm. Jacob joined WA in 2012, and specializes in the planning, design, and construction of laboratory buildings. He successfully guides teams through collaborative listening and attention to detail. Jacob has extensive experience with sustainable lab planning and design, including a deep understanding of the LEED for New Construction, Core and Shell, and Commercial Interiors rating systems. He is a leader in Wilson Architects’ sustainable design efforts, for which he focuses on energy efficiency in laboratories.
Jacob mentors young designers both in and outside of the firm and has taught design at the Boston Architectural College. He has received multiple fellowships to study architecture academically, including the Robert James Eidlitz Fellowship from Cornell University, which he studied Hindu Temple Architecture in Tamil Nadu, India.
